📱 How to Export Your Text Messages

This guide is for ClarityLab customers. Follow these steps ( click the link below ) for instructions to get your text message history ready for analysis.

💻 Mac Users (iMessage Export)

Method 1: Using iMazing (RECOMMENDED - Most Complete)

This gives you the most complete export with timestamps and metadata.

Step 1: Download iMazing

1. Go to https://imazing.com
2. Download iMazing for Mac (free version works)
3. Install the application

Step 2: Connect Your iPhone (or Export Mac Messages)

1. If exporting iPhone messages:
   • Connect your iPhone to Mac with USB cable
   • Click "Trust This Computer" on iPhone
   • In iMazing, select your iPhone
2. If exporting Mac iMessages:
   • iMazing can access your Mac's Messages database directly
   • No phone connection needed

Step 3: Export Messages

1. Click Messages icon
2. Select the conversation you want to export
3. Click Export button (bottom right)
4. Choose format:
   • PDF (recommended) - easiest to read
   • Text - includes all metadata
   • CSV - for data analysis
5. Choose date range: "All messages" or select specific dates
6. Click Export
